A Kannagi desktop clock, calendar, icons, o-mamori charm, and a chibi Nagi running around my screen…

Yen Press and Little, Brown Books for Young Readers released the official English version of the first Haruhi Suzumiya light novel, “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya,” in April of this year. Volume 2, “The Sigh of Haruhi Suzumiya,” recently came out earlier this month. I’ve purchased and read both of them, so I figured it’s time for a review…

The title of this post is a question that I’m confronted with fairly often. Why do hardcore fans spend so much money buying anime collectibles, such as figures, plushies, and trading cards, when such things are relatively expensive, take up space, and all they do is “sit around and collect dust?”…

For the past ten years or so, a little quirk of mine has been to cover every inch of my room with anime pictures and products. On a previous post, I shared photos of how my room looked last year. Since then, I’ve hung up new pictures, rearranged old pictures, and displayed new goodies. So I decided to once again share photos of my anime immersed room, the “2009 edition” XD

I got back from my 3-week stay in Japan a couple of days ago. To say the least, I had an awesome time but it’ll take me a while to gather all the photos and write complete coverage of my trip. So for now, I decided to simply share photos and info about the anime goodies I bought while I was there, particularly at the anime center of the world, Akihabara.

Wow, I can’t believe they’re still making new Inuyasha CDs! Actually this one came out in April, but still, it’s been over three years since the anime ended! 0_o And they’re still keeping all the old seiyuus together? Methinks that means there’s a good possibility for a new anime series in the works =) Maybe they’re just waiting until the manga finishes ~_^ Since Inuyasha has been losing its popularity over the past few years, I’m always on the lookout for new IY products to satisfy my obsession ^^ I heard about this CD a while ago…I just kinda forgot about it until a few weeks ago =P Better late than never I guess! Anyway, read on to see the track listings, my review, and brief synopsis of the CD, and also to download a RAR file of it…

A little over a week ago, I had a small reunion with some of the people who were in the same Japanese extension program I attended last summer. We met up at Little Tokyo in downtown LA, went out to lunch, and shopped around the stores. It had been a while since I went to the good ‘ol Kinokuniya book store and Jungle Collectibles shop there (which is also where AnimeTV is frequently filmed), so I forgot about all the great anime goodies they have ^^ I’m trying to save up my money for Anime Expo, but I couldn’t resist this gorgeous Code Geass artbook I found…
