私の部屋へようこそ – Welcome to my (anime covered) room

*Click the image for a larger, better version*

Since I first became an anime fan back in the late 90s/early 2000s, I’ve always tried to make my room look like an amateur “anime art gallery” of sorts; basically I try to cover just about every inch with anime pictures and products. Of course it’s changed many times over the years but I think it’s at its best right now so I decided to take some photos and share them here on the blog…

(Sorry, I don’t have the best digital camera so bear with me =P)

Here’s my bookshelf. You can see my Japanese Pokemon calendar above, a Vampire Knight pencil board next to it, and my autographed Code Geass poster on the door. Below the calendar is an awesome Smash Bros. Brawl artwork I bought at AX. Books of interest on the shelf there are some manga (especially the Japanese Inuyasha volumes I bought when I was in Japan a couple years ago), a few books by Japanese authors such as Souseki and Oe, and a whole bunch of Japanese learning books on the bottom. There’s also a few anime art books and some books of Calvin and Hobbes comics (which is my favorite non-Japanese comic series =P)

Here’s my desk where I’m currently keeping my laptop (I’ve had that same pink desk since I was in elementary school XD) I have a desktop computer too which I use primarily for the Internet so I mostly use the laptop when I’m at school, or in this case, hook it up to my good speakers and watch anime. Besides more anime pictures adorning the walls, you can see the 1,000 piece Haruhi bunny girls jigsaw puzzle on the floor there as well as my giant autographed Haruhi poster up above. My Nintendo DS is also in its case to the left of the laptop thought it’s kinda hard to see.

My closet doors are not spared either! XD The right one has always been the “Pokemon side” where I put the covers of the Pokemon calendars I buy. That one Pokemon poster on the lower right has been there for nearly 10 years! The calligraphy on the bottom I made when I was in Japan. It’s the character for “dream” (read “yume”).

And here’s my bed along with more anime pictures and my enormous Haruhi and Fushigi Yuugi wall scrolls above. You can also see my Pikachu and 10th anniversary Chopper plushies on my bed.

Here’s the curtain where I display pins, key chains, and past anime con badges. To the left you can see the badges from the 6 anime cons I’ve been to, and also the Pokemon League pins I got when I used to attend the Pokemon trading card game leagues a bunch of years ago. My favorites here would have to be the two cute little Nana key chains on the upper right ^^

And here’s the computer where I spend most of my life working on my web sites and downloading anime! XD Again you can see more posters and plushies. This is also where I keep most of my anime figures; a few pokemon, Chopper, the Haruhi Nendoroid and Figma figures, and a set of (unfortunately bootleg) Lucky Star figures. I just have a few figures so far but I’m hoping to accumulate a bigger collection eventually =)

And here’s the shelf with my TV on top, Wii and games on the second shelf, DVD player and karaoke machine on the third shelf, and some of my anime DVDs on the bottom (mostly Cardcaptor Sakura and Inuyasha).

And here’s the rest of my anime DVD collection. Since I usually can’t afford to buy anime DVDs very often, and since I only like to buy them from series that I know I’ll like, my collection is pretty small considering how many years I’ve been an anime fan (my “fansubs burned to DVD” collection however is quite large XD) Hopefully one day I’ll have enough spending money to buy all the DVD collections I want. To the left you can also see the Code Geass poster I got that came with an artbook, as well as the Naruto jigsaw puzzle I bought in Japan.

And here’s one last photo of the TV and computer area. Now you can see more clearly my autographed Lucky Star poster as well as my old Tenchi Muyo! poster I’ve had for over 8 years! XD

Well, that’s about it for my room. I’d like to know what you think =) And if you have an “anime covered” room too, by all means, send links and share it!

    A totally amazing room!

  2. nutcase23 says:

    THE POSTERS!!! THEY ARE EVERYWHERE!!!

  3. Geez, you have more DVDs than I do! But then again, instead of DVDs ive been buying mostily manga because I find manga more worthwhile to buy (you can enjoy it anywhere/anytime, unlike a DVD), so I have a bookcase packed full as a result. Merchantdice-wise much of it is Sailor Moon/CCS from back in my Sailor Moon obession days, and I keep most of it in my display cabinet that my dad made me (used to be a window, but he covered it up).
I have some new posters, plus last years NA-made FMA/Inuaysha calendars (which I plan on taking apart) and i’m planning on putting them up on my walls, But i’m planning on re-arranging my room soon, so i’m holding off on that.
I’m debating on taking out the posters from my artbooks/anime guides that I have. I want to put them up so badily, yet I want to keep them in the book to maintain the collector’s value….Hell i’m such a nut at maintaining something’s value Ive actually framed my glittery Sailor Moon poster and Tsubasa Chronicle DS game promo poster to keep them looking nice and to keep thier value and still hang them on my walls. The only time I don’t try and maintain something’s value is if the item is NA-made. Most NA merchandice aren’t as valuble as Japanese-made items it seams.
Maybe i’ll at least take some pics of what it looks like now or wait until i’m done rearranging things/add the new floor.

btw…..I WANT YOUR SHANA AND CODE GEASS POSTERS!!!!! I want more Shana and CG in my room!!! I practically have nothing for both series right now!!

…thats all i wanted to say.
