This is the “Question of the Week” for the Hey, Answerman column on Anime News Network. I usually don’t have the time or motivation to submit my own answers to things like this. But…since I’m on vacation now and I was kinda bored today, I decided to give this question a try. I’ve been rather Haruhi-obsessed this past year so I probably could’ve written a lot more than this but I didn’t want to overdo it XD Hopefully Zac will post my response, and if not, at least I used it as a blog post so it wasn’t a total waste ^^a You can check ANN next week to see other answers to the question. New anime sections!

Well, I’m back with two new anime sections on the main AnimeYume.com site. I’ve literally spent all of the past couple of days working on them but I think they came out pretty good ^^ So check out the new Death Note and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya sections! (BTW, about the Haruhi section, I made an html version of the timeline I posted a while ago, and also updated it with some images). I’m really not sure if I’ll have time for more anime sections anytime soon but maybe.
Anyway, these past few posts here on the blog haven’t been very “blog-ish” (just stuff about the main site and my own personal life) so I really want to get back on track with good blog posts, and also catch up with my Inuyasha chapter reviews and other stuff. But I also need to catch up on my Japanese studies and my backlog of anime to watch…::sigh:: even on vacation there’s not enough time to do all the stuff you gotta do =P But regardless I’ll definitely be back here on the blog soon!

I’m sure everybody’s heard the big news, and most have already blogged about it, but I thought I’d do my share anyway =) Yup, one of the most popular anime series’ of 2006, The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi(Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu) has been licensed in the US by Bandai and Kadokawa Pictures.

I don’t have time for a long post tonight, so I just thought I’d share something that all you Haruhi fans might be interested in. I bought this desk mat about a month ago at a little anime convention called Mikomicon. Not sure if it’s anything special or rare, but I like it ^_^ Like all the anime desk mats and pencil boards I buy, it’s way too pretty to be used for anything but to display as a poster in my room =P Anyway, the booth I bought it from had a few other Haruhi pencil boards, etc., but I thought this was the nicest one. It cost $25…was it worth it? I’ll let you decide. Oh, and if anyone can tell me what the roumaji at the bottom says, that would be appreciated(surprisingly, I can make out more of what’s written on the chalkboard and whiteboard ^^,,,)
