Today is Mainichi Anime Yume’s 9-year anniversary. And, ironically, despite the fact that I haven’t been blogging much lately, this is the first time in years that I actually remembered the blog’s anniversary on time! So I felt like I’d use this special occasion to update those of you who still read this blog on how things have been going with me, as well as any plans I may have for MAY’s future…
When the winds of changes shift…
Sorry I’ve been so absent from blogging the past few weeks. There’s a reason for it, which I’ll explain later in the post as I have an important announcement to make about my future blogging schedule…
Update and summer plans
Hey all, sorry for the lack of a new post these past couple of weeks. I’ve been super busy since my last post and can’t find the time and energy to do a quality post today unfortunately (my last day with free time until next week). But as usual, I didn’t want to go this long without blogging at all, so I thought I’d take a few minutes to share the cool events I’m planning to blog about this summer…
It’s my birthday, again…
Today’s my 29th birthday, and being only a year away from the big 30, it’s a little scary. This past year has seen a lot of changes in my life, both in terms of blogging and personally…
Belated 8-year anniversary post…and why blogging still matters
Mainichi Anime Yume turned 8 years old a little over a month ago, and as usual, I forgot all about it until this week. But better late than never! (especially since I failed to make an anniversary post last year) Although my blogging has seen some changes this year, I still intend to keep it up for as long as I can, despite the fact that blogging itself may be fading away…
Summer hiatus and announcements
Name that anime
It’s been a hectic week for me due to increased work hours because of Thanksgiving, my seasonal allergies acting up and making me feel crappy, and trying to cram in last minute studying for the JLPT, which is this Sunday. So because of all this, I’m not up to my usual lengthy post today. Instead, I’m just gonna post a quick and (I hope) fun little activity – “Name that anime”…
Fan art roundup (and quick announcements)
As much as I want to, I unfortunately don’t have the time or energy for my usual posts this week. I’ve had extra hours at work, I’m in the midst of preparing for a short vacation I’ll be taking with my mom next week, and I’ve been wanting to use the little free time I have to play through my copy of Pokemon X. But I didn’t want to completely neglect the blog this week, so I decided to do something easy – share nice pieces of anime fan art I’ve found on pixiv over the years…
Plans for Anime Expo 2013 (and brief hiatus)
For those of you who have been following my site for a while, you know that Anime Expo is the big anime convention I attend each year. I’ve been going every year since 2005…well, minus 2006 and 2009 because I was in Japan =P So this year will be my seventh Anime Expo. However, a couple of things will make this year different. First, this will be the first time I’ll be staying the full five days, arriving on Day 0, July 3rd, and not leaving until the end of Day 4, July 7th. And secondly, this will be the first time I’ll have Internet access while I’m there, which means I’ll be able to live-tweet things I see and do via Twitter. But as a result of my staying the full five days and my current work schedule (and I won’t be blogging while I’m at the con), I’ll have to have a brief hiatus since I won’t be able to blog again for at least a week and a half from now. But don’t worry, you can look forward to my full coverage of the con, as well as my reviews of the anime that are finishing this season, in the weeks after. My planned schedule for AX and more info after the jump…
Six years of anime blogging
A little over a month ago, Mainichi Anime Yume turned six years old. Unfortunately I was too busy in early October with getting settled in my new job to remember, so all I managed to do was a quick tweet about it last week. But I did eventually want to write something about being one of the long-lasting anime bloggers, and since I don’t want to repeat what I wrote about when the blog turned five years old last year, I thought I’d do something a little different and take a brief look at how I got started with blogging in the first place…
