Blood+ eps 1 to 3 review

Blood+ started airing on Adult Swim about 3 weeks ago. I had never seen the series before, and it sounded kind of interesting, so I decided to check it out. I’m not a big fan of vampire/extremely “dark” series’. I’ve seen the first few episodes of Hellsing and Trinity Blood, and it’s not that I disliked them, I just didn’t get into them enough to want to keep watching them. But after watching the first three episodes of Blood+, I’m happy to report that I like it a lot more.

Game review: Wario Ware – Smooth Moves

The Nintendo Wii game, Wario Ware – Smooth Moves, is a unique game that’s made up of over 200 microgames (smaller and quicker than minigames ^^) in which you use the Wii remote in different “poses” to mimic how you would do the games’ actions in real life. This game takes full advantage of the amazing flexibility, sensitivity, and wireless action of the Wii remote. Though the microgames are only a few seconds each (except for the boss stages), there’s an incredible amount and variety of them, and any Wii fan should find themselves addicted to this seemingly simple but fun game before they know it ^^

Kanon finale (and some questions about it)

I finally had a chance to watch the last episode of Kanon last night. I had a feeling that, like Air, I wouldn’t understand the ending too well and it would probably leave me with some questions. So after watching episode 24, I’m still a bit confused, but I think I understand the main gist of it. As I said before in my past Kanon reviews, it’s a very beautiful and touching series that gives you more mysteries to contemplate than answers…

Death Note: the halfway mark review

Ok, so I’ve watched a little more than half the episodes of Death Note (20 out of 37) but close enough. Anyway, Death Note was one of the few series’ that I loved right from the first episode. My opinion of it has changed (for the better) since my initial review of the first 2 episodes, and now I like it even more and I understand why it’s one of the more popular (but not quite mainstream) series’ around nowadays…

Naruto the Abridged Series, and other anime vs YouTube stuff

A while ago I wrote a post about Yu-Gi-Oh! the Abridged Series, which I still think has got to be the best anime amv/parody/spoof/fandub series there is. Whether you like it or hate it, as long as you’re a little familiar with Yu-Gi-Oh!, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t find LittleKuriboh’s series hilarious! XD But now I’d like to talk about a new abridged series I’ve started watching – yup, Naruto the Abridged Series. Though I still think YGO the Abridged Series is a bit more clever, this one is definitely worth checking out for fans (and anti-fans) alike.

I finally had some free time today to do a little work on the main AnimeYume.com site instead of here on the blog…

Game review: Pokemon Ranger

In the Nintendo DS game, Pokemon Ranger, rather than play as a pokemon trainer like in the other games, you play the part of a pokemon ranger. Taking advantage of the DS stylus and touch screen, you capture pokemon in a whole different way – by “looping” a number of circles around them, all the while trying to keep them from breaking out of the loop or damaging your capture styler with their attacks. Instead of raising and battling pokemon, the job of a pokemon ranger is to take temporary control of pokemon with the capture styler and use their abilities to help solve problems in different cities and environments.
