Yu-Gi-Oh! the Abridged Series: the best thing on YouTube!

First of all, for those of you who’ve seen the YGO Abridged Series on YouTube, I’m sure you’ll agree that it definitely deserves all the praise I’m about to give it and that LittleKuriboh has done ingenious work on it. But for those of you who’ve never seen it, whether you love Yu-Gi-Oh! or hate it, there’s a good chance you’ll still find the Abridged Series absolutely hilarious…

Why you ask? First of all, let me explain what the YGO Abridged Series is. Around the summertime of this year, a British guy nicknamed LittleKuriboh started making a series of Yu-Gi-Oh! videos on YouTube called “Yu-Gi-Oh! the Abridged Series.” What he does is take about 4 to 6 minutes of each YGO episode, edit out the original dialogue, and do his own fandub of it(amazingly he provides ALL the characters’ voices!) So it turns out to be a fandubbed condensed version of the YGO series, but with one special twist; he totally parodies it! Using his hilarious portrayal of the characters’ English dub voices, he pokes fun at pretty much everything about the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise, from the card games, the anime characters, flaws in the storyline, censoring in the 4Kids’ version, etc., as well as finding great ways to add in his choice of pop culture references, such as Beavis and Butthead, Batman, Evangelion, and Star Wars just to name a few, and bringing it all together into a series of brilliantly hilarious videos! What also makes the series so great is that it can be enjoyed by both YGO fans and non-fans, the latter because they can laugh at how intelligently he makes fun of the show, and the former because(as long as they have an open mind of course) they’ll know all the references in the show that he’s talking about and they can realize just how funny its flaws are(LittleKuriboh himself is obviously a YGO fan…how else could be make such a spoof of the franchise so perfectly? XD)

So seriously, if you’ve got a few minutes to spare and you feel like having a good laugh, then check out the Abridged episode 1 here. You’ll be hooked before you know it. And if you want to check out the rest of the episodes, make sure you get them right from LittleKuriboh’s web site here because there are a lot of fake Abridged episodes floating around made by people who must be jealous of LittleKuriboh’s popularity or something. LK not only does Abridged versions of the episodes, but of other things as well; the Abridged YGO movie trailer, funny skits of the characters responding to comments on the videos, and also recently, “A Yu-Gi-Oh! Christmas Carol.” All of them are pure hilarity XD

Anyway, I just can’t recommend the YGO Abridged Series enough to anyone who’s at least a little familiar with the YGO anime, whether they like it or not, and who also enjoys funny videos of course ^^ As of now, LittleKuriboh has almost 16,000 subscribers to his channel! They can’t all be wrong! =P

IT’s good harmless fun and the people who own the rights to the show make it suck becuase they published the show diffenerntly then how it was intend to be. It was orignally ment to be for a teenage audience but 4kids messed it up. Now if you want the real thing you have to pirate and translate it I mean how screwed up is that. Please stop killing good things america save this parody the spoof is mor truth than fiction.
