Kyoukai no Rinne is the newest manga series by the famous manga-ka Rumiko Takahashi. The first chapter of Rinne came out less than a year after Takahashi finally finished her longest running series, Inuyasha…
Spice and Wolf review
I was a little late with watching Spice and Wolf, but better late than never for this excellent series…
Natsu no Arashi review

K-ON! review
The most popular anime series of the spring 2009 season comes to an end, at least for now…
Underrated series of 2009: Kemono no Souja Erin
Kemono no Souja Erin (Beast Harpist Erin) first began airing on NHK in January of this year and is scheduled for a 50 episode run. The series is based on novels by Seirei no Moribito creator Nahoko Uehashi, with animation by Production I.G. Personally, after seeing only 17 out of 50 episodes so far, I think KnSE is one of the best quality TV anime I’ve seen in recent years, both in storytelling quality, and the animation aesthetics are not too shabby either. Unfortunately, I also feel it’s one of the most underrated series of the year since, when compared to just about all other current anime, hardly anyone is talking about it or watching it…
Eden of the East review

Although it could be classified as simply an action/adventure series, it has the same kind of radical style and unconventional feel that made Cowboy Bebop stand out. You’ll find little to no blatant fan-pandering scenes or stereotypical anime archetypes in Michiko to Hatchin; like Cowboy Bebop, the ingenuity of its art, music, and setting are what make it appealing…
My 5 favorite anime of 2008
Although I only had time to watch a small handful of all the anime that aired in 2008, I enjoyed pretty much all the ones I watched. But of course, while some simply came and went, there were a few that really stood out and reminded me why I like anime so much. So I decided to kick off the new year with a look back at the five 2008 anime that I liked the most…
