The whole issue about YouTube and its copyright infringement policies has always been a big topic among anime fans, and now even more so because of Google taking over YouTube. I don’t know too much about this kind of stuff, but from what I do know and have experienced from having my own YouTube account, I can say that YouTube, or rather the anime companies that enforce these copyright infringement polices, are taking things a little too far…

The first annual American Anime Awards was announced back at the beginning of January. Fans were even able to vote online in the event’s 12 different categories to determine the finalists. Now, the online voting is over and the 5 finalists for each category have been chosen. According to this article from ANN, the winners will be announced on February 24th during the awards ceremony at the New York Comic Con, hosted by many of the prominent English voice actors in the industry. I was a little late with watching Mushishi but I’m glad I decided to add it to my list of anime to watch. I just finished the last episode a few days ago and, surprisingly, for a series that remains basically the same throughout all of its 26 episodes, it was one of the best I’ve seen in a while.
I actually got my Wii a while ago, I just now finally decided to post about it. Yup, I was one of the lucky ones who didn’t have to wait on a long line in order to get one…I managed to get the last Wii at a local Game Stop. I wasn’t in the store five minutes before two other people came in and asked for one, so I was definitely in the right place at the right time! And since I had a couple of gift cards, I also got to knock $75 off the price too! Like all Nintendo products, it was fairly easy to assemble and figure out once I got it home. Unfortunately I haven’t had as much time as I would like to play it yet, but I have to say, it’s got to be the best video game system I’ve ever experienced…
I don’t know if this has become a common thing or not, but this is the first time I’ve seen anime mentioned in one of my school books…
