This chapter marks the beginning of volume 50 for the Inuyasha series. Wow, 50 volumes. Not many series’ can make it that far…in a way I’m glad, since Inuyasha is still my favorite series (am I hopeless or what? =P) and since it’s ongoing, I can still look forward to the new chapters every week and ponder about what’s going to happen next. But on the down side, as I’ve said before in my other chapter reviews, I really think it’s about time Takahashi-san starts wrapping things up and finally ending the series. Volume 50, chapter 500 would be nice even numbers to end with, and even though we’re on Vol. 50 now and only 10 chapters away from 500, I don’t see any way the series could tie up all its loose ends by then. Ah well, as I’ve said (too many times) before, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
As for this chapter, we’ve got the beginning of a new story arc(though not the kind of plot-advancing one we’ve been hoping for.) It’s nice to see Sesshoumaru again, but yet another arc revolving around strengthening a weapon? As I said in my last review, those kinds of arcs usually turn out to be a bit stale and predictable, plus there’s been way too many of them lately. But this one might be more interesting because it involves a youkai who was once an enemy of Sesshoumaru’s father rather than just some random evil youkai wanting to fight and kill him for no clearly defined reason. Background about Sesshoumaru’s father will probably save this arc from being too boring, and if Shishinki and the kid with the scary eyes get proper characterization, it might turn out to be pretty good. Sesshoumaru already got a lot of character development in his last arc with his mother, so this arc will probably just see him mastering the Meidou Zangetsuha. Well, guess that’s some progress ^^
man i can wait till i get manga 50 i read vol 49 in ear-tweak.com and i can believe that sesshomaru has feeling for little rin , i wish i know what kind since there has been a discution in fanfiction.net about a fatger and daughter relation , an d other of when she get older kind of mates relation , o well Rumico Takahashi sensei will let us know soon . about you review i would like you to be a little more spoiler and give me more detail, but o well maybe you have not read it yet , if by any chance you can see the manga scans please let me know so i can ses it. thanks
