James had once lived with a rich family in a large mansion. But when his parents were going to force him to marry a very psychotic fiance named Jezebel, James couldn't take it anymore and ran away from home.
James is the most passive and gentlest of the Team Rocket trio. Jessie and Meowth are the ones who give the commands, and he usually follows them without much complaint. Although he's a member of an "evil" organization, James seems to have more interest in simpler things, such as bottlecap collecting, and doesn't seem to enjoy the conflict and humiliation that his job often brings.
