Mainichi Anime Yume
I got back from AX ’08 on Sunday and my coverage and photos of it are now posted! =) Even though I didn’t do too much at the con this year and there weren’t any exceptional events, I had a pretty good time and took lots of awesome cosplay photos! My first post of 2008! I hope the new year is off to a good start for you all ^_^ 2007 has been a great year for anime both in Japan and the US so hopefully 2008 will be too. Unfortunately, although I’ll still watch as many new 2008 series’ as I can, I’ll have to put my sites back on hiatus soon once my classes start. But I should have time in the summer to do some site work and you can still check the About the Blogger page to see what anime I’m currently watching. But for most of the year there won’t be much activity here on the blog or the main site. Sorry about that, but I’m sure those of you who are or have been swamped with work and/or school know how it is =/ More details about my sites’ return to hiatus later, onto what’s new on Anime Yume…
To all my loyal visitors to Mainichi Anime Yume and AnimeYume.com, and to anyone else reading this, have a wonderful, white Christmas and a happy, healthy new year! ^.^ Like some people, I don’t care for the religion aspect of Christmas as I do for everything else; the lights, decorations, music, gifts, warm feeling, etc,. Despite many things keeping me from really having Christmas these past few years, such as lack of time and money, having pretty much no relatives to celebrate with, living where it doesn’t snow, etc., I still can’t help getting a warm and happy feeling when Christmas comes around. Though it’ll never be quite the same as when I was a kid, I don’t think there’ll be a time when my “inner child” doesn’t get at least a little excited on this day =) I once read a quote that sums it up good; “Christmas is not a date, it’s a state of mind.”
Anyway, it’s not much, but I do have a few Xmas-related anime things to offer you guys today…
The four 2007 anime calendars that I had preordered from CDJapan(Bleach, Inuyasha, Pokemon, and Konjiki no Gashu Bell) arrived yesterday. And since I had nothing much to do today, I made scans of all of them and posted them on the main site ^_^ You can see all 28 of them on the Anime Import Calendar Scans page(along with all the other calendar scans I’ve posted from previous years.) Just like pretty much all anime calendars straight from Japan, the artwork on them is absolutely gorgeous! ^.^ Enjoy!
