Madoka and Fate/Zero characters eating out together…why not?

I’ve been sick this week so unfortunately I’m not up to writing my usual lengthy editorial or review posts. But, not wanting to go over a week without blogging, I’m just going to do a laid back post today and share some funny anime and related pictures and videos that will hopefully brighten your day…

Crossover pics are always fun. Here’s a Madoka X Nichijou one.

And a Pokemon X Digimon one.

Magical girls galore (but where’s Sailor Moon?)

—–

A great MAD video that shows various character visual cliches in anime.

Disney princess Facebook argument…hilarious!

The periodic table of anime characters (I think I shared this one on Twitter once, but it’s funny enough to share again XD)

Also shared this one before but it’s definitely worth another share – the 2012 anime Olympic teams!

—–

Pixar characters as anime gijinka characters~

—–

A Japanese Madoka cosplay group dances to “Connect.” It’s amusing watching what they’re each doing, especially in the background. And pay attention to a certain someone sneaking up on Mami…

—–

Sonic the Hedgehog drawn in ancient Japanese style.

—–

Every Anime Opening Ever Made – I’m sure some of you have seen this video before but I don’t think I ever posted it on the blog. It basically showcases all the stereotypical elements of anime openings XD

—–

Never forget them!

I should be better next week and be able to get back to real blogging. So…see you all then~!

No Comments… read them or add your own.

OMG wish all our bags/windows 8 programs came with anime pics on it! LMAO @ the facebook conversation, that’s hilarious. I saw one a while ago where they were RPing God and that was hilarious too. They’re always so entertaining.
    AWESOME post!!!

  2. Wingless says:

Love ’em! But the first picture.. where is Saber? And Archer? Did nobody invite them?

    • Yumeka says:

Good question, LOL. I didn’t notice that they weren’t there. Either they weren’t invited or they’re sitting at a table beyond the scope of the picture XD

    • Shikon says:

I also didn’t see Kirei or Kiritsugu…although I believe that I his teacher is in there o.O

  3. Marina says:

I love the difference with how products are advertised, like with the windows example. I was familiar with most of the images you shared, but I really like that Sonic image which was new to me.

I hope you get well soon!

    • Yumeka says:

Yeah, you’ll always know it’s from Japan if it has a cute anime girl on it =P

The Sonic one is interesting. I like how his rings are tied around his neck.

      I’m feeling much better today…thanks!

  4. Kal says:

That table of elements is awesome :) The America / Japan bags actually make me sad… I do not like windows 8, but with a box like that, I may actually get it :P

Good pictures, hope you get better soon!

    • Yumeka says:

The table of elements one is amazing…I don’t know who made it but I couldn’t think of a character for all of them XD

Both computers in my house have Windows 7 so I doubt I’ll be getting Windows 8 unless it’s the current system when I get a new computer (which should be years from now since both computers are fairly new).

  5. chikorita157 says:

Nice… Of course, they did the same thing when Windows 7 came out and created a female character to be the mascot of the operating system…

Aside from that, get well soon.

    • Yumeka says:

That’s just like Japan, LOL. If they have anime mascot characters for their constitution, of course they’d have them for their operating systems XD

Thanks, I’ve been feeling better =)

  6. jimmy says:

Light as swimming, Menma as diving, Spike as weightlifting <3

The Madoka and Fate/Zero characters are eating together because they're from shows written by Gen Urobochi. I assume you'd know that, but the "why not?" comment made me think it might have not occurred to you.

    • Yumeka says:

Actually, I remembered that they were both the hottest series of 2011, but I had forgotten they shared a writer too XD So if they have the same writer then that’s why they’d eat out together at a restaurant, LOL.

  7. Loved the ancient Sonic the Hedgehog drawing and “Every Anime Opening Ever Made” (lol). I understand why so many anime ops feature sakura blossoms falling since it’s a typical Japanese image, but I’ve never gotten what the falling feathers are all about.

    Get well soon!

    • Yumeka says:

I had a feeling you’d like the Sonic pic :3

I’m not sure what the fascination with falling feathers is but I could venture a guess and say 1) they give off a similar feel as cherry blossoms falling and 2) they’re just pretty XD

  8. CoolCARTGuy says:

Hilarious pictures; I especially loved the Disney Princess Facebook argument along with the periodic table and the Madoka-Fate/Zero crossover pic. Vive le fanart!

What do you think of seiyuu connection fanart? Personally, I love those; there’s something about a character dressing up as another character voiced by their seiyuu or when two characters who share a seiyuu swap clothes.

    • Yumeka says:

I never really thought about seiyuu connection fan art, but now that you mention it, I think I have a few of those saved on my computer. They’re fun too :3

  9. Shikon says:

Ha! I love these pictures, especially the Sonic the Hedgehog and Fate/Zero Madoka crossover XD. You should really do posts like these occasionally , nothing like good fan art from time to time =)

    • Yumeka says:

LOL, yeah, when I’m not feeling up to my regular text-heavy posts, I’ll just post a bunch of fun pictures and videos like this XD Glad you liked them. I’ll certainly do more another time.

  10. These did indeed brighten my day a bit. I think the first couple are my favourites – do you have an artist name for them?

BTW, it’s much less-watched than the first, but the guy who made that “Every Anime Opening Ever Made” video also did a follow-up: “Not Every Unique Anime Opening Ever” – http://youtu.be/ILN1rV2CGPA

    • Yumeka says:

I got most of these images from friends or on random web sites, so I don’t know who the artists are. Sorry =/

Thanks for that video, it was cool!

  11. shirayuki75 says:

I said, “Oh my god,” when I saw diving for Menma and sailing for Kotonoha. Thanks for all of these gems. They made my day.

  12. Mikoto says:

I’ve been feeling under the weather recently too. Hopefully we’ll both get better. lol

The Japan/America comparison pictures always hit my funny bone in particular. It would be nice holding two of those bags in each hand though, don’t you think? :P

Also, I believe the Digimon/Pokemon crossover was drawn by PokeSho (http://www.pokesho.com/). Really great fanartist.
