Mainichi Anime Yume’s 4th year anniversary

Mainichi Anime Yume recently turned four years old (on October 1st actually, though I only just remembered =P) And I’m happy to say that I think this year has been one of the blog’s best…

Though MAY is only half the age of my main AnimeYume.com web site, I’m glad that it’s become one of the older blogs that’s still active in the ‘sphere. I’ve heard that many anime blogs don’t last more than two years, and recently a number of them have died out. I intend to keep MAY going as long as I can, even if I end up not being able to post as much as I have been (which did occur during my two years at college from ’08 to mid-09 when I had to put the blog on frequent hiatuses).

I say this year has been MAY’s best because I’ve written the most number of posts this year (about 200) and have received the overall highest number of comments per post. I’ve also acquired a number of new readers this year, and I thank you all for your continued interest ^.^

Anyway, the posts I have planned for the upcoming week(s) are belated reviews of seasonal shows I recently finished watching (Occult Academy, Rainbow, K-ON!!, and Seitokai Yakuindomo), most likely all in one post, and first impressions of the fall 2010 shows I decide to watch (Tegami Bachi Reverse, Bakuman, and Ore no Imouto so far…will probably pick-up a few more). My review of Pokemon Black will be up soon, having just completed the main story portion of the game last night. And of course, I’ll have more of my general anime fandom-related posts. You can check my Twitter updates to see when I have, or plan to have, a new post or if anything comes up that prevents me from posting.

Once again, I want to thank all my readers for a wonderful fourth year! Here’s to many more~

Congrats on making it for the forth year… it seems that many anime blogs don’t last after two years (July was the deadest month according to Ani-Nouto), let alone one year. For me, I’m not going to fade out anytime since I have tons of shows I need to watch or blog about…

Look forward on what you have in store for the future.

There are so many billions of anime blogs out there, I dunno how you keep track of them all. Definitely a hearty congrats though, not just for longevity but for consistent quality of content as well.

  5. Yumeka says:

    @ all

Thanks for the support and congrats everyone~

  6. Congratulations! I’m reminded of a phrase I heard that I’ll paraphrase “To have something you’ve done go on for so long, it takes two things: a love of what you do, and the stubbornness to keep at it regardless.” The first is evident in all of your posts and coming back after a long delay proves the second. As always, I look forward to what you post about next.

  7. So that’s what the blogger meetup was supposed to celebrate! :3

Kidding of course, and I look forwards to your breakdown of some of the more recent shows to basically confirm that I’ve been dropping shows for good reasons (or not!).

Heh, I probably would have mentioned it at the meet-up had I remembered XD Last year I didn’t remember my blog’s b-day until a month later, so I guess three days late this year is an improvement =P

  16. Congrats on going four years strong. I’ve recently celebrated my two year milestone a few weeks ago with my blog Anime Full Circle. And like you, I plan on continuing updating the site for many years to come. I enjoy sharing my passion of anime with the world and I hope that we both have continued success now and in the future.

Good luck and I will catch ya later!!!!!!
