MAY in Round 4 of the Aniblog Tourney

I was pleasantly surprised that Mainichi Anime Yume managed to pull off a victory in Round 3 of the Aniblog Tourney by only four votes. I want to thank all those who voted for me! My match in Round 4 is underway, so I hope you’ll continue to support me. Once again, if you’re unsure about voting for MAY or not, I’ll direct you to my original tourney post, “Mainchi Anime Yume in the Aniblog Tourney,” which explains more about the kind of blog MAY is.

If you’ve made your decision, go ahead and visit the polls here. Even if I win this Round, I don’t expect to stand a chance against some of the massively popular blogs in the tourney. But I would like to see how far I can get =)

Happy voting~!

Just voted for you! (How many rounds does this thing have, anyway? I feel like I’ve been voting for people’s blogs for months now… :0! )

  2. sage says:

Your header banner breaks your blog’s layout. Not to mention some other things are broken.

    Just thought you should know.

  3. Yumeka says:

    @ Jan

Thanks! I think it’s gonna go on for two more rounds after this.

    @ sage

I explained about my blog’s layout in the comments section of this match’s post. If by “other” broken things you mean links, those I can fix if I know where they are.

  4. Glo says:

Looks like I shouldn’t have voted for you those 4 times. Oh well, I hope you win, although I must say, I’m still reeling with disappointment from the loss that Baka Raptor was served. My hope in humanity took yet another hit from that.

    You obviously have my vote.

  5. Canne says:

Voted for you despite Glo’s calling you a yellow serial killer in the previous round :P

  6. Yumeka says:

    @ Glo

    Thanks!

I knew I wouldn’t have stood much of a chance against Baka Raptor so I’m pretty sure I don’t stand a chance against the blog that beat him, Sea Slugs =P

    @ Canne

Thanks. I know it didn’t make much of a difference this round, but I voted for you too =)

  7. pKjd says:

    Voted for you!

Let’s see if we can catch each other next time to start on our project :)

  8. Prooof says:

I think the main problem with the banner is that it’s a bit stretched horizontally and the image is a bit dithered (low quality saving pehaps).
That shouldn’t too hard to fix.
Also, I would think a “straighter” font would look better for the overlay.

  9. Yumeka says:

    @ pkjd

Thanks! (though at this point it doesn’t look very hopeful…)

    @ Prooof

Thanks for the suggestions. My friend pkjd (who commented above) is gonna help me fix up MAY’s layout as soon as we both have the time =)

Wow…I checked the polls early this morning and I was about three votes ahead of Kurogane. I came back from work five hours later and he’s suddenly over fifty votes ahead of me 0_o I think all he did was make a tiny note about voting for him at the bottom of his recent post. Well, I think my chances of winning against a blog with that kind of popularity is virtually nil. It was nice while it lasted. Glad I was able to get this far at least =P

I voted for you since I enjoy your writing. ;)

Is Twenty Ten available from the list of themes? It should considering it’s the new default theme in WordPress 3.0. Don’t worry though since the background color and header image can be changed easily from the WordPress Administration with ease.

  12. Yumeka says:

    @ chikorita157

Thanks for the support. My friend and I are actually working on improving MAY’s layout with that theme as we speak =) Hopefully it’ll be ready soon.
