Well, my three months of summer vacation have finally come to an end; tomorrow I’ll be putting MAY back on hiatus for a while, heading back to university, and starting the fall quarter of my (hopefully) last year of schooling…
It’s been extremely hot in California this summer as usual, but in spite of that I had a really great vacation just watching anime and working on my sites in my air conditioned room ^^ I think I did more blog posts this summer than I ever did at any time since I started the blog in 2006 (31 posts in 3 months…for me that’s pretty good since most of my posts are quality over quantity XD) My one regret is that I never got a chance to do all the revisions I wanted to do on the main AnimeYume.com site. But there’s always next time; at least I got to add a couple new anime sections, AX ’08 coverage, a new survey, and updates of a few old pages like the What is Anime? and Calendar Scans pages.
Anyway, as usual I’ll be taking four upper-division classes this fall so I’ll be putting both the blog and main site on hiatus for the next 11 weeks until my winter break in December. I wish I could keep working on my sites while I’m at school, but I know that with the amount of school work I’ll be getting, web site work will become more of a chore than fun. But both sites will remain open even though I won’t be working on them so feel free to check out any posts or updates you haven’t seen already =)
In addition to schoolwork, I’ll also be working on getting my JET application, resume, letters of recommendation, and interview going. If I do end up getting accepted into JET, my life will be taking quite a drastic change within the year so I will keep you posted on that! =D
And just to note, even though I won’t be blogging about it, I’ll still find time to watch all the new anime I want ^_^ So if you want to stay up to date on all the anime I’m currently watching, you can keep checking my profile on MyAnimeList.net here. I’ll also be adding new favorite videos to my YouTube channel every now and then too =)
Well, guess that’s about it. Thanks again to all my loyal visitors for your comments and support! ^^ Even though MAY isn’t nearly as popular as many other anime blogs, I don’t mind as long as I enjoy working on it, and at least a few other people enjoy it too =) I have a 3 week winter break around Christmas/New Year’s and a week long spring break in March so I’ll be back with a few posts during those times. But for now, I hope you all have a great fall season and I’ll be back in mid-December! ^_^V
This is my first comment to one of your blogs, but I have to say, I’m impressed with what you do with it and I always enjoy the anime you recomend and are watching. I just recently finished Air, Kanon, and sola. I am a 21 year old guy in the military but I still get emotional with anime like those. *smile* I look forward to watching any more anime you recommend when you post this winter!
