Well, this anime definitely touched my heart (metaphorically).
But definitely not in a positive way. Many of these romantic shows that involve supernatural occurrences in one form or another, often forget the genre.

I'm sure most of you know, that while at the beginning of these shows they start out with mostly a love-comedy scenario, but by the end, the show takes a different turn. Instead of finishing the romance story, they often dig themselves too deep in there own philosophy. Making pointless statements, such as,"underneath the sky those two gave me", that, sure sound philosophical and sentimental, but often leave your head immediately.

That was being general, when being specific, it gets even more frustrating.

The Biggest problem in this story, is definitely the priority of charecter development.
During the show, we get engrossed with the main character, we literally give up our emotions, and instead give our emotions to Yorito. When yorito's upset, so are we, and this applies to all animes with good character development. So naturally, i particularly wanted to see Yorito's character obtain happiness. Right? That's why I'm confused that a character that didn't even get introduced until like, episode 3, a character i ended up hating (plot wise, sort of how you hate the evil villains in most shows), ends up being the one with the most happiness, and the last character i get to see in the show. It ends with a tragedy, but the remaining characters are happy?

Maybe i'm being arrogant, perhaps i'm to use to western romance literature, which tends to end on a positive note, and with a rather decisive style.

None the less.

I invested too many emotions into this show, and in the end, this show betrayed those emotions. Its difficult for me to ever invest this much emotion in a romantic love story again, but i'm sure they're other shows out there that i might enjoy.

I definitely do NOT recomend Sora for anyone. Having finished it, I warn anyone who tries to watch it for romance that that fades within the first 4 episodes, then the series gets boring with slice of life for a moment, then yawake(?) (is that the word for "pyschotic jealous rival love interest") with a suspenseful plot, and then ends with a cliche anime tragety.

Oh and the guy never ends up with the girl you're most interested in, and who's on all the covers. He never even gets close in the ending...when he becomes fixated on his sister. wth?
