Soul Eater =/= Bleach, i am thankful for. It has the superficial, the most superficial, similarities: the shounen,the shinigami, the action, the slapstick humor...but humor is slapstick but in a really clever way, more so than Bleach (MAKAAAA-CHOP). The shinigami is the strangest and wonkiest character i've ever seen, and the action is pretty interesting. Not just one-on-one sword-waving, sword-stabbing, energy ball-firing stuff. But the characters have got to be the BEST part. All of them have consistent, colorful personalities and it's quite entertaining whenever they interact. I love this manga to death. Didn't think I'd like Itazurana Kiss. The guy is too much of a selfish manipulative prick and the girl is so FRUSTRATING and naive, it got tiring to watch. I did like the few beginning episodes though, sorta funny. Vampire Knight is riding the recent vampire fad. I dunno if Twilight started it or what, but once it passes, I'm pretty sure this anime will too. wow, someone who doesn’t like Death the Kid? i’m shocked.

In just the second episode, we find out Zero's secret. Other things get introduced very quickly and without much reason why. It’s basically just a light, whimsical adventure series"... uh then the genre is adventure isn't it? Anyway haven't seen the show myself. Soul Eater is pretty alright for a shounen.
