AMV Medley!

I’m not really a huge fan of AMVs – I only like them when they’re exceptional, either really funny or really well made, and I don’t have any interest in watching mediocre AMVs. Over the years, through Anime Music Videos.org and brief viewings at cons, I’ve managed to find only a handful I thought were really worthy. But recently I’ve been in an “AMV mood” and felt like watching some of my favorites again and sharing them here on the blog (luckily they all seem to be available on YouTube too). So here are 6 of my all time favorite AMVs. Read on, and let me know if you think they’re as good as I do…

One of my all time favorites, this an absolutely brilliantly hilarious AMV! XD I think any anime fan will find this video funny, even if they’re not really into AMVs.

The Narutrix by ManyLemons Productions
Featured anime: Naruto
Probably one of the best movie trailer AMVs. Even for someone like me who prefers more humorous AMVs, I found this one pretty awesome.

Right Now Someone is Reading This by doki doki Productions
Featured anime: Various
The first AMV I ever really liked, despite being a bit out-dated (it only features anime from the 80s and 90s), it’s one of the best and most well constructed.

The Wizard of Ozaka by Suberunker Studeosh
Featured anime: Azumanga Daioh, One Piece, FMA, Bleach, Evangelion
A really unique AMV. It not only blends scenes of various anime together almost flawlessly, but it manages to parody both The Wizard of Oz and RPG video games! XD

Skittles by Koop
Featured anime: The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
One of the most recent and best AMVs – lip syncing, Photoshop skills, and pretty much everything about this AMV is flawless. The song is really catchy too! =P

She’s Just Oblivious by Silver Moon
Featured anime: The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
This song matches Haruhi so perfectly it’s almost scary ^^,,,

BTW, for those of you familiar with AMV Hell, the next AMV Hell motion picture is set to premiere at Anime Weekend Atlanta on Sept. 21st. Hopefully it’ll be available online soon afterwards =)
