Almost from the cryptic remarks and analysis from Koizumi and Asahina it seems as if they know more about the two then they let on to Kyon. Not to mention they both at times seem to give off this vibe that it's almost inevitable or imparitive that Kyon and Haruhi wind up together. Though really that's just my take as it does seem like theres time's where Kyon is falling for her, but tries to push those thoughts out of his head quickly. If only we could be together for a longer time.” ----hmmm...a very melancholic phrase that sounds very much like "Its really great that i've met you...im sorry for troubling you..but, if ever that i'll be doing so again..please accept me again.. its so sad that we had to part.." again..definitely bidding farewell to kyon... that made me think about this: could that girl, the slider (?)...could she be having feelings towards kyon too? hehe.. i forgot to elaborate…
