Once again, sorry for the delay with this chapter. It’s not that I’m too busy to write the IY chapter reviews on time, I just get wrapped up in writing other posts. And when I finally decide to write them, it’s already time for the next new chapter ^^,,, Ah well…I’ll just try and get them out when I can.
Anyway, here it is, the big chapter 500. And, surprisingly, it’s not all that great. Just more sword fights and Sesshoumaru vs Tessaiga conflict – nothing we haven’t already seen many times before. Besides a few extra color pages (and a funny comic by MakiMaki staff ^^), it was really just another chapter. I actually liked ch. 499 better ’cause at least it had some humorous scenes ~_^ The only thing that really struck me in this chapter is that it’s been quite a while since Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha have battled (or rather, Sesshoumaru decided to fight Inuyasha). That was actually an appealing part of Sesshoumaru’s character; in the beginning of the series, all he wanted to do was fight and kill Inuyasha so he could get Tessaiga. But eventually he mellowed out (Rin’s influence perhaps?) and shifted his focus to destroying Naraku. But now he’s picking fights with Inuyasha again, though his statement about discarding both Tessaiga and Tenseiga indicates that he has different intentions than simply acquiring Tessaiga. As for what his intentions are exactly, I guess we’ll find out in the next chapter. And hopefully we’ll finally, FINALLY, be done with the whole “Sesshoumaru vs Tenseiga vs Inuyasha+Tessaiga” conflict. I’m not holding my breath though =P And what the heck is up with Byakuya suddenly having the power to instantly transport Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru into some demon-infested battle ground place?! ~_^ Unless it’s just an illusion…he is “Byakuya of the Mirage” after all. Well, I’ll be awaiting the answers next time!
That’s all I’ve got to say about the big 500th chapter of Inuyasha. As I’ve mentioned before, it doesn’t seem like the series will end any time soon…perhaps it will go on for another 100+ chapters. I don’t know, but I’ll continue to follow it all the way =)
Anyway, I felt I should do at least a little something to celebrate my favorite series reaching 500 chapters (and also recently, it’s 10th anniversary). So I’ve uploaded one of my favorite Inuyasha AMVs (actually, the only Inuyasha AMV I’ve really watched ^^,,,) I don’t particularly like AMVs…only the exceptional ones, and I think this one is very well-made. Despite being at least 4 years old, I think it’s definitely one of the better romance AMVs out there. Well, I’ve uploaded it here for your viewing pleasure. Just be warned, unless you support Inuyasha+Kagome, you might not want to watch it ^^,,, LOL, you can tell the AMV is old ’cause the creator only uses scenes from episodes 1 through 74 and the 1st movie. Hmm, I wonder if she ever made a follow-up version using scenes from later eps and movies…
Heh, I don’t like the Tenseiga vs. Tessaiga arc (again…) either.
The sigh of relief was too short, and Byakya really does pop powers from all over… Probably Rukimo’s way of secluding them and making this fight even longer. I bet that Inuyasha’s gonna be in a pinch, and then when all is lost, he’ll get a new sword technique. That’s what usually happens. Gosh, it’s almost as worst then the power ups in Bleach.
Also, it doesn’t seem like a right chapter to put in the big 500… It looks like just another chapter, and I guess I’m disappointed.
I sat down to watch the AMV you uploaded. It was very nice. I don’t know… That’s really all Ihave to say about this. I don’t watch many, if any, AMV’s either. Okay, I’m gonna stop babbling now XD

Like most mangas, the big ”chapter 500” is just another regular chapter. I agree with animyume.
well i watched the animated series form epsiode 1 – the whole thing and all movies i was really surprised they ended the anime so soon i mean tit was getting to the really good parts inuyasha had just learned adamnts barrage not long ago but in managa that attacks old news lol but inuyasha was my fav show period best thing ever created if it had episode 1-untill manga ended i could sit there and watch it and not move through whole thing i was so addicted to it i prtested it ending sighned 40 petition made 5 petitions made 6 websites trying to get it back emailed adultswim and inuyasha makers sighned 100s of guestbooks sent snailmail to inuyasha makers i cried when i heard they wer pulling it man i am so addicted to it but for us people its kinda hard to get manga especially me so i lost touch with the greatest thing in my whole life ever yea i like it that much how could i go back and get all the inuyasha chapter from when inuyasha first learns adamants barrage to the current issue man im so dead without it
