It was a pretty normal day for me this past Friday, until the above arrived in my mailbox ^^
But before I get into that, I first want to apologize for not posting in practically a whole week. Even though this past week was my spring break and I didn’t have my usual classes on Monday and Wednesday, I was working long 7-hour shifts for four days in a row at my job. In addition, I also had some school assignments to work on and friends to get together with. So for the whole “break” I was either too busy or too tired to work on posts. And even though it’s Easter Sunday today, I still have a midterm I should be studying for XP But there’s a chance I might be able to write a post tonight. And if not, I should definitely have time next week, maybe even tomorrow night, to work on at least 2 or 3 posts to make up for lost time. I think I’ll have more free time this coming week than I did during my so-called spring break ^^ I’m also trying to catch up on all the anime in my “to-watch” folder, as well as start watching some of the new spring series’ that recently came out. Hayate no Gotoku!, El Cazador, and Claymore are a few I plan to watch, and maybe more if I have the time.
Anyway, as for the above image, it’s part of a letter I received from one of the UCs (Universities of California) I applied to last fall, for a Japanese major of course. UCs are very difficult to get into, and I was doubtful if I was going to get into any of the 4 I applied to. But I’m really excited that I got into at least one! ^_^ If I get into the others, I’ll have to research and visit each one and decide which is the best for me. Once it gets closer to the enrollment deadline in June, I’ll let you know what my decision is!
So it seems like my future plans are as follows – finish up this spring semester and short five-week summer semester at my current community college, have a short summer break, during which time I’ll be attending the full four days at Anime Expo, then start heading off to a university ^_^ I plan to live in a dorm on campus, but I’ll be sure and take my computer with me so I can still watch anime and possibly continue to work on my web site. Well, this won’t be until September, so there’s still time for me to plan everything out.
Guess that’s all for now. I might be back with new posts tonight or tomorrow night, but definitely later in the week. Until then, let’s hope this new spring season of anime turns out good ^.^
