Merry Christmas, from MAY! ^_^

To all my loyal visitors to Mainichi Anime Yume and AnimeYume.com, and to anyone else reading this, have a wonderful, white Christmas and a happy, healthy new year! ^.^ Like some people, I don’t care for the religion aspect of Christmas as I do for everything else; the lights, decorations, music, gifts, warm feeling, etc,. Despite many things keeping me from really having Christmas these past few years, such as lack of time and money, having pretty much no relatives to celebrate with, living where it doesn’t snow, etc., I still can’t help getting a warm and happy feeling when Christmas comes around. Though it’ll never be quite the same as when I was a kid, I don’t think there’ll be a time when my “inner child” doesn’t get at least a little excited on this day =) I once read a quote that sums it up good; “Christmas is not a date, it’s a state of mind.”

Anyway, it’s not much, but I do have a few Xmas-related anime things to offer you guys today…

First of all, I went through my many anime picture folders on my comp and found some Christmas pictures. They’re kind of old, but still festive nontheless =)

Also, I uploaded a few Japanese Christmas songs. I don’t buy CDs that often, but a bunch of years ago I found the Digimon Christmas Fantasy CD on sale for just $5, so I decided to buy it. Despite being old, it has some good Japanese Christmas songs. I’ve uploaded three of the songs on the CD here for your Xmas listening pleasure(you can also find lyrics and translations to them here.) Enjoy! And once again, I wish you all the happiest of holidays this season! ^__^

Minna no Kurisumasu(Everyone’s Christmas): a nice Xmas song sung by Koji Wada

Jingle Bells: Japanese version of Jingle Bells sung by some digimon characters. Very cute.

Tenshi no Inori(An Angel’s Prayer): pretty Xmas song sung by AiM

“Happy, happy Christmas, that can win us back to the delusions of our childish days; that can recall to the old man the pleasures of his youth; that can transport the sailor and the traveller, thousands of miles away, back to his own fire-side and his quiet home!”
– Charles Dickens
